Naniloa Development, 77-6565 Naniloa Drive
(HawaiiOne1 Investors, LLC, formerly Kona Heights)

At its July 21, 2022 meeting, the Leeward Planning Commission voted to require the creation of a new Cultural Impact Assessment (CIA) before the Commission will take action on this proposal. The Cultural Resources Commission recommended that additional outreach be done by the developer.

In October 2023 individuals who testified before the CRC were being contacted by an archeologist with ASM Affiliates for further input. ASM is referring to this proposal as the "Lāʻīpala Makai Planned Unit Development."

LPC discussion also included asking the developer to look into creating more affordable housing onsite beyond the County requirements for this type of housing and having the developer explore adding a tsunami evacuation route as part of this proposal.

We'll update the website when this project returns to the Planning Commission.
